Bjørnsund: an island adrift in the sky

The summer wind has brought us here - a small island off the west coast of Norway, near Molde and Bud.
Should you wish to come and visit, please do! Here is some info on Bjørnsund.
The school where we run a cafe

The bear which gives the island its name
Our home, where we'd love you to come and see this droplet of heaven for yourselves :)

Cavalier at the Cavalieri

February workshop in Malta and the sea is definitely warm, though nobody else seems to think so!

Nordic Polar Bears

Several groups of swimmers meet every Saturday for a dip in the sea: just missed the hail today

Why the hurry to get out?!

Still alive and kickin' ...

… though mostly in the pool, so here are some photos on the theme of being strung up: the sun tight-rope walking across the sky, Christ upon his cross, the view from a cable-car and finally a house straddling the water. The weather is warming up nicely and outdoor swimming should start again soon :)

The sky's the limit!

Still swimming in the pool, even if the light hasn't justified blogging these last three months!
Here I am reaching for the sky after submersion in a long, dark and very wet winter.
Since the floods weren't safe to swim in, those water-shots got posted on FB instead.
And here is a delicate duet between wave and 'contrail' - the lighter touch of turbulence:
And yes, that is indeed a snowdrop in the right-hand margin, though my attempt to balance autumnal leaves with vernal flowers evidently didn't work, and since I've managed to drown my GoPro, I'm back to using a cheap & cheerful camera, hence the lower quality images.
