The wind at her heels...

I did manage a round-the-bay swim in St Julians the next day, then headed up to Orkney where, less than a week later, Ruby Merriman kindly held my towel at Dunnet Bay before she flew over the sands, her feet never seeming to touch the ground!

Cavalieri, Malta

First rain, then work, then bruck in the sea, so I didn't manage the long swim in warm water I had hoped for, only a short dip. There's always tomorrow!

Man & his dog

A Sunday morning swim before we head out to Molde for the afternoon. Oak-beamed 1920's fishing boat.

And for my third swim...

... I swam from South to North Bjørnsund: just over a kilometre in 25 minute at 14°C.
This, by the way, is the view from our noust!

And these are the reflection in our sky-light of that same view!

Halcyon days of youth

I've spent the last week happily following schoolchildren at the Bjørnsund Leirskole as they engage in various sea-faring activities, from boating, kayaking and beach combing to fishing, filleting and eating their own catch: a charmed existence all round!

Wannabe Vikings
